ALBERT G. DE WEERD
Funeral services were held at Bethel Reformed Church in Lester on Monday, September 10 for Albert G. De Weerd, of rural Alvord, who died at Valley Manor Friday, September 7 after a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Norman Menning and burial was made in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center, under the direction of Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley.

Mr. De Weerd was bom August 1, 1913 at Maurice. He married Rose De Jager September 2, 1935 at Sioux Center. They farmed near Alvord for the
last 20 years.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Gilbert and Wayne of Sioux Center and Rodney of Rock Valley; three sisters Minnie, Ethel and Johanna all of Maurice and nine grandchildren.
