Mrs. M. Lemonds Dies At Age Of 83

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Lemonds, 83, who died July 31, were to be held at the Methodist church Saturday in Hawarden, Rev. William Sebring of the Associated church officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery under direction of the Barnard Funeral home.

Mrs. Lemonds was born July 5, 1880, in Benton county, Ia. She was married to Allen Preston Lemonds of Mills county, Ia., September 4, 1907. They came to Hawarden in 1915. Mr. Lemonds died October 23, 1949.

Survivors include two sons, LaVerne of Sacramento, Cal., and Cliff of Paynesville, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Harlan Markley of Marathon, Ia., and Mrs. M. B. Underwood of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Cora Hagen of Parker, S.D.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
