Herm Oldenkamp Rites Held Friday
Herman Oldenkamp died at home following a brief illness on Friday, October 24 at the age of 16.
Funeral services were held Monday. October 27, l:30p,m. In the First Christian Reformed church with the Rev. Leonard Van Drunen officiating.
Mrs. Jake Oostra provided the organ music.
Pallbearers were Gerrit Kersbergen, Theodore Dykstra, Alvin Miller. Lee Schlecty, Jake
a nd Art Attema. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Porter
Funeral Home.
Mr. Oldenkamp was born August 31, 1893 in Boyden.
He married Tillie De Bruin on February 27, 1930 in Rock Valley, she preceded him In death on January 12, 1969. He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors are a son, John of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a brother, Adrian of Rock Valley; and two sisters, Mrs. Bert De Vries of Kalamazoo. Mich.. and Mrs. George Van Beek of Rock Valley.

(He was the son of Johannes Oldenkamp and Susan Mieras. He was first married to Alice Abma, she died in 1929. )
