Robert L. Richardson

Services were held in Cedar Rapids Nov. 7 for Robert L. Richardson who died Nov. 3 in Cedar Rapids following a long illness.

He was born May 20, 1918 in Ostrander, Minn. He lived in Ireton from 1927 to 1944, graduating from the Ireton high school. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa and was a veteran of World War II. He married Ruth Waldron in 1944.

He was a member of St. Jude's church in Cedar Rapids, a member of the local typographical union and of the Cedar Rapids Chess Club. He was employed 25 years at the Cedar Rapids Gazette.

He is survived by his wife, five children: Alice Ruth Rogers, Amos, Bob and Beth of Cedar Rapids, Tom of San Jose, Calif. and one grandchild.
