Mrs. Leo Hebert, 76, Beresford, died Nov. 8 in a Sioux Falls hospital of a sudden illness.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 10 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with the Rev. Noel Power officiating. Burial was in Emmett Cemetery, rural Beresford. The Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Wass Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hebert, the former Lillie Monnette, was born Feb. 1, 1900 in Manteno, Ill., and attended school in Warren, Minn. She was married Sept. 17, 1923 in Salix, Iowa. The couple farmed near Whiting, Iowa, until 1931 when they moved to Elk Point. In 1942 they moved to a farm near Alcester. Mr. Hebert died in August 1950. She moved to Beresford in 1963.
Survivors include three sons, Paul of Alcester, Charles of Hawarden and Claude of Novato, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Neuroth of Beresford, Mrs. Dorothy Fowler of Los Angeles, Miss Jane Hebert of Arvada, Colo., and Mrs. Mary Sinclair of Fort Collins, Colo.; five brothers, Maynard of San Francisco, Paul of Palo Alto, Calif., John of Homestead, Fla., Francis of Manteno and Lloys[Lloyd?] of Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Gagon of Lompoc, Calif. and Mrs. Elizabeth Woodrich of Zephyrhills, Fla.; 27 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
