Vernon J. Singer, 52, of Le Mars died Dec. 5 at a Le Mars hospital where he was taken after being stricken at his business place, Sinclair's Service.
Services were at 10 a.m. Dec. 8 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Staber officiating. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery. The Rosary was recited at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home.
Mr. Singer was born Dec. 3, 1924 at Elkton, S.D. and came to Le Mars when he was 2 months old. He married Opal Swisher May 28, 1945 in Le Mars. He owned and operated Sinclair's Service.
Survivors include the widow; two sons, James and Terry, both of Le Mars; four brothers, Melvin, Merlin and Elmer, all of Le Mars, and Herb of Monrovia, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Cleo (Viola) Hoffman and Mrs. Don (Florence) Diediker, both of Le Mars, and five grandchildren.
