Mrs. Fay M. Smith was born February 28, 1891 in Argyle, Wisconsin and passed away October 4, 1976 at the Yankton, S.D. Hospital.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7 at First United Methodist Church at Yankton, with Rev. Robert Vessey officiating. Interment was in the Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden with arrangements by Schenk Funeral Chapel of Yankton.

She was married to Perly L. Smith on Feb. 7, 1912. He passed away in 1969. She was also preceded in death by a son. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Andy Thompson of Yankton and Mrs. Louis Lombarde of Rosell, Ill. Two sisters, Mrs. Georgie Smith of Renton, Washington and Mrs. Ona Millikan of Sioux Falls, S.D. One brother, John A. Peck of Hawarden, Ia. and five grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was a former Hawarden resident. She being the former Fay Peck.
