SMITH SERVICES LAST WEEK

Graceside services for N. P. Smith of Yankton, South Dakota, former Hawarden resident, were held Thursday, June 5, at Grace Hill cemetery in Hawarden.

After the services, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Peck and Kitty served lunch to the following: Mrs. N. P. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Thompson, Jon and Linn, and Mrs. Jean Carol and daughters, all of Yankton; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Lombarde and Laurie Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Millikan, and Mrs. Ona Millikan, all of Cherokee; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin L. Peck of Lucas, South Dakota, and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Peck and Mrs. Herb Peck and Amy of Hawarden.

Mrs. Smith is the former Fay Peck, sister of John and Clifton Peck and Mrs. Ona Millikan.

His wife's obituary (Hawarden Independent, October 14, 1976) calls him Perly L. Smith.
