HENRIETTA DE RYKE KUTCHENWRITER

Henrietta De Ryke Kutchenwriter, 76, of LeMars, formerly of Sioux Center, died Tuesday, March 23 in a Sioux City hospital.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. Anthony Blankers officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family visitation was from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kutchenwriter, the former Henrietta Mol, was born May 12, 1905, in the Netherlands. She came to the United States and the Sioux Center area at the age of 5 with her parents.

She married John De Ryke Feb. 12, 1923, at Sioux Center. They made their home in Sioux Center. He died Aug. 23, 1935.

She moved to Iowa City in 1947 and married Frank Kutchenwriter in July of 1956. They lived at Iowa City. He died in December of 1967. In 1970 she returned to northwest Iowa and lived at Sheldon, Sioux Center and LeMars. Mrs. Kutchenwriter was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Iowa City.

Survivors include one son, Jacob De Ryke of Vermillion, S.D.; one brother, Clarence of Sioux Center; two sisters, Mrs. John (Jeanette) Van Holland and Miss Johanna, both of Sioux Center and two grandchildren.
