Funeral services were held at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley at 1:30 P.M. April 9 for Mrs. William Vander Broek, 91, of Rock Valley, who died April 6, at the Rock Valley Nursing
home following a long illness.
Services were conducted by the Rev. J. Van Zweden and burial was in Valley View cemetery at Rock Valley.
The former Elizabeth De Jong was born in The Netherlands Sept. 15, 1881, and came to the U. S. when she was 11 years old. She was married to William Vander Broek March 5, 1914, at Sully,
Iowa.
Survivors include six sons, Gerrit of Chandler, Minn., Marinus of Orange City Gradus of Bellflower, Calif., Jerry.of , Denver, Colo., Cornelius of Los Angeles, and Jacob Van Kampen of Racine, Wise., two daughters, Mrs. J. W. (Helena) Teunissen of Alvord, and Mrs. Peter (Anna) Baker of Doon; 18 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
