Funeral services for Jacob J. Vander Griend of Orange City were held Tuesday afternoon in the First Christian Reformed church in Orange City. Rev. J. Hulst. officiated with Van Etten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Burial took place in the. Orange City cemetery. Pallbearers included William T. Rens, Henry Vande Zandschulp, Terry Heyen, Jake
Vander Griend, Gerrit Gravengoed and Peter Vander Griend Mr. Vander Griend was born (23 Dec 1892) near Orange City and livd in this area all of his life, and (died 18 Sep 1959); he was married to the former Ella Rens. Farming was his occupation until three years ago, when he retired to live in town. Death came unexpectedly as a result of a heart attack. His survivors include the widow and son Jacob, jr., and two grandchildren
