Jake Vande Griend, 60, of Orange City died Jan. 21 in the Orange City hospital.
Services were at 10 a.m. Jan. 24 in the First Reformed Church. The Dr. Raymond R. Van Heukelom officiated.
Burial was in Middleburg Cemetery, with the Van Gelder Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Vande Griend was born March 24,1915 in Orange City and was a lifelong resident. He married Cornelia Muilenburg Dec. 25, 1934 at Orange City. He was a carpenter.
He was a member of First Reformed Church.
Survivors, all of Orange City, include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Eleanor) Wielenga and Mrs. Harlan (Janice) Van Roekel; the mother, Mrs. Andrew (Ella) Vande
Griend; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Nell) Van Meeveren, and Mrs. Elizabeth Plender and six grandchildren.
