Mrs. Sydney Johnson, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away Thursday, April 15 following a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday a.m. with burial in Topeka.

Mrs. Johnson is the former Lillian Anderson who was born and raised in Hawarden, attending the schools here. In 1920 she left for Denver, Colo., where she took a nurses' training course, being employed in one hospital for 20 years. She married Sydney Johnson and they moved to Topeka, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son Kenneth. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Manley Smith of Boise, Idaho and two grandsons, two sisters, Mrs. Florence Mitchell of Hawarden and Mrs. Evelyn Lawton of Topeka and several nieces and nephews.
