LeRoy Dimmick, 66, Hawarden, died Oct. 1 in a Hawarden hospital of a brief illness.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 4 in the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Marion Bloodworth, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery. The prayer service was at 7 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Dimmick was born June 18, 1910, in Thurston County, Neb. He married Bernice Harkness Oct. 3, 1934 at Elk Point, S.D. Mr. Dimmick farmed in the Hawarden community and also was employed by the L. G. Everist Co., retiring in 1972. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Roger of Le Mars and Arden "Bud" of Hawarden; three daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Jerry) Brandsma of Spencer, Mrs. Roland (Jeanette) Wendt of Sioux City, and Mrs. Rick (Shirley) Larson of Mitchell, S.D.; two brothers, Clifford of Hawarden and Elmer of Elk Point; a sister, Mrs. Glenn (Lela) DeWall of Hawarden; and six grandchildren.
