DEATH SUMMONS WM. M'GLOGHLON
Died Monday Evening at His Home at Colman, S.D.
Was 38 Years of Age and Grew to Manhood in This Vicinity.--Leaves Wife and Two Children

William A. McGloghlon, a former resident of this vicinity, passed away at 7:30 Monday evening at his home at Colman, S.D. Mr. McGloghlon was taken ill about five weeks ago with pleurisy and pneumonia and later complications set in which he was unable to overcome. His mother, Mrs. Ada McGloghlon, and her son, Harry McGloghlon, who now reside near Alcester, received word Monday of his serious illness and although Harry left at once for Colman his brother had passed away before he arrived.

Brief funeral services were held at the home at Colman this morning and then the remains were brought to Hawarden by A. Earl Ross, accompanied by the family and Mrs. McGloghlon and Harry McGloghlon. Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev. J. W. LaGrone, the pastor, in charge. Interment was made in the family lot in Grace Hill cemetery.

William A. McGloghlon was born on a farm several miles northwest of Hawarden May 12, 1890, so he lacked but a month of being 38 years old at the time of his death. He grew to young manhood on the McGloghlon farm. He was united in marriage with Miss Myrtle Ervin. After his marriage he continued to farm, moving to the vicinity of Craig. Five years ago this spring he moved to Dell Rapids and this spring he moved onto a farm near Colman.

He is survived by his wife and two children, Fern, aged 10, and Floyd, aged 5. He also leaves to mourn his loss his mother, Mrs. Ada McGloghlon, one brother, Harry McGloghlon, and one sister, Mrs. Leo Comstock of Eagle Grove.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the wife and two small children and to the other relatives in their loss of a loving usband and father, son and brother.
