Mrs. Mathew McNamara, 74, of Hawarden died Monday, March 9 at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hawarden. The Rev. William Carel will officiate. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. McNamara, the former Agnes Carr, was born Jan. 17, 1907 in Akron. She was married June 24, 1924 in Jefferson, SD. They farmed in the Alcester area until moving to Hawarden in 1954. Mr. McNamara died Sept. 14, 1978. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Anderson of Sioux Falls, SD, Mrs. Pat Hart of Corona Del Mar, Calif., and Mrs. Harry (Rose) Vande More of Hudson, SD; three sons, Clifford of South Sioux City, James of Hawarden, and Bill of Wewahitchka, Fla.; two brothers, Everett of Mora, Minn., and Leo of California; two sisters, Mrs. Walford (Irene) Forslund of Akron and Mrs. Fred (Cecelia) Karrer of Sioux City; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
