Douglas S. Mesman,
48, of Hudsonville, Mich, and formerly of Hull, died on Friday, July 13, 2012
DOUGLAS SCOTT MESMAN, aged 48 of Hudsonville, went to be with the Lord the morning of Friday, July 13th. Doug was a family man and enjoyed nothing more than spending the weekend on Lake Michigan in the company of his family and friends. Doug lived life to the fullest and never missed a chance to spend time with his children or grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, none more so than his wife of 13 years Darlynn (Jansen) Mesman. Doug is also survived by his parents Peter and Joyce (Vande Griend) Mesman, children Daniel (Brittany), Tyler and Connor Mesman, grandchildren Caleb and Dean Mesman, mother-in-law Hermina and the late Wilfred (Bill) Jansen. Doug’s siblings Kathy Visser (Mike Donelan), Michael (Julie) Mesman, Sherry Larsen; in-laws Dan (Brenda) Jansen, Doug (Cindy) Jansen, Robert (Denise) Gritter and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Pastor Mike VanBuren and Pastor Shawn Hulst will officiate a celebration of life service at Fellowship Reformed Church Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36th Street, in Hudsonville on Tuesday, July 17th at 11 a.m. Visitation is to be held at the Cook Funeral Home in Jenison, 1889 Baldwin St. Jenison on Monday, July 16th from 5 to 8 p.m. Friends may also visit with the family at Fellowship Reformed Church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In Lieu of flowers, the family is asking for contributions for Connor’s education. Deposits may be made at Lake Michigan Credit Union under Daniel and Brittany Mesman.
