Arthur G. Navis, 81, Neenah, Wis., died Sunday, August 5, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Services August 9, 2012, St. Margaret Mary Church, 620 Division Street, Neenah, with Fr.
Michael Ingold officiating. Interment will be in the Omro Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by members of the U.S. Army and the American Legion following services at
the church.
He was born March 24, 1931, in Sioux Center, son of Johan "Joe" and Minnie (Schuiteman) Navis. He married Mary Elizabeth Yache Aug. 10, 1957, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waupun, Wis. He was employed by Fred Rueping Leather Company for 30 years.
He was a very hardworking and unselfish man and he lived for his family; family was his
life. He was the No. 1 fan of his grandchildren and loved to be at their events. He enjoyed
playing cards, cribbage, scrabble, camping and scouting. He was a member of St. Margaret
Mary Catholic Church in Neenah. He was a U . S. Army veteran having served in Alaska
from 1952 to 1953.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Elizabeth; his children, Arthur Joseph (Jane) Navis, Menomonee Falls, and Lorrie Beth (Kevin) Pratt and Michael (Diana) Navis, both of Neenah; seven grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
