ELLINGSEN

Elmer Ellingsen, 64, of rural Alcester, was found dead Aug. 24 near the Combination Bridge in Sioux City. Dr. Thomas L. Coriden, Woodbury County medical examiner, said he died Aug. 23.

Services were at 2 p.m. Aug. 26 in the Wass Funeral Home, Alcester. The Rev. Ralph Christopherson officiated. Burial was in Nora Cemetery in rural Alcester.

Mr. Ellingsen was born April 10, 1912, in Union County. He had lived in Sioux City for a short time after World War II. Mr. Ellingsen had been employed as a farm laborer in the Alcester area. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Alcester Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

Survivors include a brother, Gilbert of Alcester; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Selma) Larson of Akron, Iowa and Mrs. Bud (Gladys) Hartman of Alcester.
