P. Van Donselaar, Nieuwsblad Editor, Near Death

Mr. H. K. Eggink received a card from his son Henry, student at Western Seminary in Holland, Mich., that P. Van Donselaar was very sick and not expected to live. "Chief" Ottopoby, adopted Indian son of Van Donselaar's, asked Henry Eggink to notify friends in Sioux Center.

Mr. Van Donselaar is well known here as editor of the Nieuwsblad. He was first a partner of Vanden Muelen and later of H. Brandes. When he left here he moved to Holland, Mich., and joined the staff of the Grondwet, and following the death of the Grondwet editor has been managing this newspaper.

Van Donselaar Passed Away

P. Van Donselaar died in his home in Holland, Mich., Wednesday night of this week [March 22]. His adopted son Ottopoby sent a wire notice to Gerrit Klein early Thursday morning. The funeral will be held Saturday in Holland, Mich.

Mr. Van Donselaar is a former editor of the Sioux Center Nieuwsblad. Until recently he has been acting editor of the Grondwet.
