A. Brinkhuis died at his home in Newkirk Monday from dropsy. He was sixty years of age and leaves a widow and five children to mourn his demise. The funeral wwas conducted from the Reformed church at Newkirk Tuesday by Rev. Van Diune and was largely attended.

( Abraham Brinkhuis was born Jul 1842 and died Jun 20, 1902 Newkirk. He was married to Gerridina Rietberg Jul 15, 1869 Zwolle Overijssel Neth. They had six children Gezina 1870, Jacoba 1872, Gerritdina 1873, Christina 1875, Abraham 1877 and Gerrit Jan 1881. His parents were Jacobus Brinkuis and Gesina VandeWaa. After Gerritdina died he married Maria Alday in 1898.)
