Roscoe C. Robertson, 84, of Hawarden died May 4, at the Hawarden community hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Douglas Oelke officiating. Burial services were held at the Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Robertson was born March 8, 1889 at Greenville, Ky. He married Dovye Kennedy on Oct 27, 1912 at Greenville. They moved to the Hawarden area in 1918 and he farmed near Hawarden until moving to town in 1944.

Survivors include; the widow; a son, Elton of Hawarden; daughters; Mrs. Barton (Dolly) Tone of Hawarden, Mrs. Larry (Doris) Wilkison of Hoopeston, Ill., Mrs. Roger (Shirley) Johnson of Hutchison, Kans.; sisters, Mrs. Naomi Raynie and Mrs. Pearl Boyd, both of Hawarden; brothers, James J. of Hawarden, Clyde of Mellette, SD and Floyd of Vancouver, Wash.; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren
