Frank H Dunham, an early day resident of Calliope, passed away at his home three miles south of Elk Point SD., at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning following a brief illness from influenza. He was born in Delaware County, Ohio. In April 1855, so lack but a few months of being 70 years of age, When he was 18 years of age he moved with his family to Marshall county, Iowa, the family locating near Albion. He came to Sioux county in the early 70’s and resided at Calliope for a number of years. For more than 35 years, however, he has lived on the farm. He is survived by his wife Samantha and four sons, Lee, Charles and Frank Jr. of Elk Point and Thomas of Hecla, SD. He also leaves one brother L.B. Dunham of Hawarden. Funeral service will be held at the Congregational church at Elk Point at 1:30 Friday afternoon

Note: He was married twice. He was married to Alice Miller in 27 Mar 1884. She died in 1907. His second wife was Samantha Dunn married 5 Feb 1908 in Union county South Dakota.
