Generzia Dunham Stone, the Youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John L Dunham, was born in Delaware county, Ohio, June 2, 1865. When a mere child she came with her parents to Albion, Marshall County, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood. On Dec. 25th 1884, she was united in marriage to David Orlander Stone and has since made her home in this community. One son and one daughter, Merle R. Stone and Mrs. J. A. Armstrong, were born to this union. Both husband and children survive her and will cherish in sweet memory the love and affection of a devoted wife and mother. She is also survived by two brothers L.B. Dunham of Hawarden and F.H. Dunham of Elk Point, SD.

Hawarden Independent, August 29, 1918

Mrs. D. O. Stone passed away at her home in Hawarden at one o'clock Wednesday afternoon, after an immediate illness of two weeks duration. She had been in poor health for several years and her recent illness was the culmination of these infirmities. Funeral services will be held from the home at 2:30 Friday afternoon. Rev. J. P. Burling of Des Moines, former pastor of the Congregational church of this city, will conduct the services.
