Aged Couple Loses Three of Their Offspring in Four Months

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dunham of Elk Point, Union, South Dakota have lost three children in less than four months. Their son Luther Dunham, aged 39 years, died Saturday at his home eleven miles north of Elk Point of Spanish influenza. His wife death occurred Sunday evening and their two children are seriously ill with the same disease. Also word was received by the parents Thursday of the death of their daughter , Mrs. Mrytle Wescott, age 43 years of Akeley, Minn., the cause of her death being influenza Mrs. Gertrude Mann, another daughter, died about middle of June. Frank Dunham is a brother of L.B. Dunham of Hawarden and a brother of the late Mrs. D.O. Stone

Note: On the head stone listed was Luther W. 1878-1918, Della J 1880-1918 and Mearle R 1908-1918. They were buried at Riverside Cemetery at Akron, Plymouth, Iowa.
