DIED.—At her home one mile west of town, on Saturday morning at 4 o'clock, Mrs. S. P. Hartzell. The deceased has been very ill for some time and her death had been expected for nearly a week, still the taking off came as a great shock to her family and hosts of friends here. She had been suffering all year with a
hoped that with the best of skill and the most careful nursing that she would recover her usual
health, but it was not to be, and so on Saturday morning she, passed into that great Beyond where, sooner or later we must all follow her. Though she suffered the most execruitiating pains she always bore up heroically and never complained. Everything possible was done for her but all to no avail. This summer her husband had built for her especial comfort and convenience the finest residence in these parts, modern and up to date throughout. But she lived but a short time in her new dwelling and her death was a very pathetic on as the luxurious dwelling built mostly for mother's sake, seems but an idle mockery now to the ones who loved her so truly and devotedly.
Her remains were laid to rest in the Eden cemetery on Sunday afternoon, and the largest crowd that ever gathered together to do honor to a beloved and esteemed departed one in this vicinity, was there to pay a last tribute of respect to the one gone before. she leaves a husband, three son, a daughter and many other relatives to mourn her loss. To those sorrowing ones we extend out heartfelt sympathy, and may He who tempers the wind to the shorn lamb, be with them and let them remember that she has but gone before to that land where pain and suffering are known no more forever.
