Dwight Duncan, 66, of Dumas, TX. Died Tuesday, Mar 10, 1998. Memorial services were at 7 p.m. Saturday7, March 14, 1998 at First United Methodist Church, Dumas TX. Officiating was Rev. Jon Wagoner, pastor Arrangement was by Boxwell Brothers, Funeral Director, at Amarillo, TX.

Mr. Duncan was born March 17, `931, in Egan, SD., To Arthur and Hazel Duncan. The youngest of six children, he attended Egan Consolidated Schools and graduated from South Dakota State University in 1960. Mr. Duncan married Ardycc Beryl Smith of Flandreau, SD., in 1951. Mr. Duncan worked as a cattle buyer for several packing companies in Iowa from 1960 until 1984 when he moved to Dumas and worked as a buyer until recently. Mr. Duncan was a former resident of Hawarden.

He was a life-long member of First United Churches in South Dakota, Iowa and Dumas, TX, A strong community leader; Mr. Duncan served with many organizations including 4-H, Little League Baseball, the church and on a local hospital board.

Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by his parents; two older brothers, Arthur I. Duncan and Dwain C. Duncan; and a sister, Erma Delay.

Survivors include his wife, Ardycc Beryl Duncan, of the home; three sons, Michael Duncan of Oconomowoc, WI., Mark Duncan of New Virginia, IA., and Bruce Duncan of Brandon, SD., two sisters, Grace Amdahl of Sioux Falls, SD., and Verla Wagoner of Cohales, NY., and five grandchildren
