Lucille Duncan, 74, of Alcester, SD died Friday Feb. 3, 1984 in the Hawarden hospital. Services were at 2:00 p.m., Monday Feb. 6 at the United Church of Christ in Alcester. The Rev. Ronald Nuss-Warren officiated. Burial was in the Beresford, SD., and cemetery under the direction of the Wass Funeral Home of Alcester.

Mrs. Duncan the former Lucille Hanson, was born Sept. 24, 1909 in Clay County, SD. She grew up on a farm in Clay County and married Roy Duncan March 2, 1929, at Canton. They lived on a farm southwest of Beresford until retiring in 1968 to Alcester. Mr. Duncan died in 1980

Survivors include two sons, Lowell of Alcester and DeWayne of Viborg; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Donna) Johnson of Brownsville, TX. Mrs. Edward (Delores) Havelka of Aurora, CO. and Mrs. Douglas (Cheryl) Johnson of Alcester; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Viola) Vance of Carrollton, MS. And Mrs. Harold (Eleanore) Gamberg of Lebanon, OR; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren
