Margaret Lankhorst, 91, Hawarden, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at St. Lukes Hospital in Sioux City. Funeral service was Saturday at the Associated Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Charlotte Fillingsness officiating. Burial was at Grace Hill Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Margaret Lankhorst was born Feb. 6,1910 in Hawarden, daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Brunskill) Schoeneman. She graduated from Hawarden High School. On June 19,1930 she married Harry J. Lankhorst in Hawarden. Mr. Lankhorst died Nov. 19,1992.

Mrs. Lankhorst was a lifetime member of the Associated Church and involved with the Ladies Aid for many years. Survivors include; a son, Doug Lankhorst of Hawarden; three granddaughters; one sister, Jeanette Von Glan of Scottsdale, Ariz., six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; one son, Charles; one sister Lois March.
