DEATH OF FORMER RESIDENT
Wendell Churchyard Died July 21st in San Francisco Hospital
Word has been received here of the death of Wendell H. Churchyard, former well known Eagle township young man, which occurred July 21st i n a hospital in San Francisco, Calif., following an illness of several weeks from neuritis and complications.
Wendell Churchyard was about 42 years of age and grew, to young manhood on his father's farm in Eagle township. He attended the Hawarden high school for a time and later took a watchmaker's course at Elgin, 1L. Following his completion of the watchmaker's course he went to Yerington, Nev., about twenty years ago where he was employed in and operated a jewelry store for a number of years.
For several years prior to his death he had been engaged in the banking business in Yerington. He is survived by a widow and two sons. He also leaves to mourn his death his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Churchyard of Greenacres, Wash., and three sisters. • Wendell Churchyard was a splendid young man of unusual ability and attainments and had a host of old-friends in this community who will learn of his death -with sincere regret. After leaving Hawarden he became prominent in Masonic lodge work and two or three years ago served as grand master of the order for the state of Nevada.
His remains were taken from San Francisco back tot his home in Yeringon where interment was made
