Hawarden Independent, July 2, 1953

Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran church on Monday afternoon for Mrs. Freda Dauberman, 70, who died at the local hospital Friday.

Committal was made in the Ireton cemetery, Rev. O. F. W. Pittack officiated at the service with the Barnard Funeral home in charge.

Freda Gertie Dauberman was born August 9, 1882 to Luder & Gesina Twillman of Bremen, Germany. In April, 1899, at the age of 6, she accompanied her parents to the United States, and took up residence on a farm southwest of Ireton.

In October, 1906 she married Herman Imbrock at Centerville, S.D. To this union were born three sons and two daughters.

On August 23, 1923, she was married to James Dauberman at Hawarden by Rev. George Steinkamp, at that time pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church. During the past 30 years, she had made her home in Hawarden.

About three years ago she submitted to an operation, from which she never fully recovered. A lingering illness set in about a year ago, and in May of this year she was taken to the local hospital. After her release from the hospital she remained in the home of her son in this city. Declining rapidly in health, she was returned late last Wednesday afternoon to the local hospital.

Those preceding her in death are her first husband, her parents, two brothers, Will & Martin Twillman, and two other brothers and two sisters who died in infancy.

Surviving are her husband of Hawarden; three sons, Fred Imbrock of Hawarden, William Imbrock of Centerville, SD and George Imbrock of Long Beach, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Abrahamson of Beresford, SD, and Mrs. Martha Eli of Rivera, Calif; five grandchildren; three brothers, Henry, George and Aldolph Twillman, all of Ireton, and two sisters, Mrs. Reinie Onken of Ireton and Mrs. Martha Luschen of Hawarden.
