Monday's Omaha Bee contained the following, dated Madison, Neb,, June 23: "The funeral of the late John E.Wyatt was held from the family residence this afternoon and was attended largely. It was under the auspices of the Grand Army of the Republic post, of which the deceased was a member. Mr. Wyatt was 75 years of age and had been an invalid for ten years.
The subject of the above item will be remembered by many Orange City residents. Mr. Wyatt was at one time auditor of Sioux county for two terms. He also built the Wyatt hotel in this city and conducted it for several years.

Died 23 Jun 1900 Madison NE. His parents were Ezra Wyatt and Elisabeth. He married Mary e. Judd 1831-1933, They were married May 13, E852 in Streetsboro Portage Ohio. By 1880 they were residing in Orange city IA. Children were- Charles, Minerva, Willis,and Minnie.)
