E. Waldemar Peterson, 66, of Alcester, died Friday in a hospital in Sioux Falls.

Services were at 2 P.M., Monday in Nathanael Lutheran Church at Alcester. The Rev. George Mer(?) officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with the Waas Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Peterson was born Feb. 21, 1911 in Union County. He farmed in the Alcester area all his working life. He married Helen Torkelson, Jan., 1, 1942 at Hudson. They farmed east of Alcester and retired to town in 1976.

He served on the Miller district school board, and on the board of Nathanael Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Lions Club and Senior Citizens in Alcester.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Miss Lois of Sioux Falls; five brothers, Wilbur, Wilhelm and Arnold, all of Alcester, Adolph of Madison, Wis., and Lloyd of Pasadena, CA; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Esther) Fickbohm of Akron and Mrs. F. L. (Linnea) Gandrau of Harrisburg, SD, and one grandson.
