News from Doon is to the effect that J. A. Byerly, who was recently injured by an accidental gun shot, died very suddenly on Sunday. He was recovering fast and had been sitting up in bed playing his banjo, when a sudden fit of coughing resulted in the rupture of an artery in the wound, and in two minutes he was unconscious. Mr Byerly was formerly of Sioux Center where he had many friends.
