Miss Barbara Cecilia Shroeder (Schroeder), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nic Shroeder, died suddenly last Tuesday night aged fourteen and one half years. She had been ill some two weeks but had apparently changed for the better until a short time before her death. Miss Barbara was beloved by all and possessed a sweet character which brightened the eyes of all her associates. The funeral on Thursday was largely attended.
(Barbara C. referred to in the death notice above was actually Cecilla Schroeder born 1886 died 1900. Her parents were Nicholas and Maria Anna Arens Schroeder. Nicholas was born 16 May 1846 Luxembourg and Maria Anna was born 1848 and died 1920, they had children – Anna, John, Frank, Peter, Nellie, Amelia, Cecillia, and Margaretha.
