HAWARDEN, Iowa — Roger C. Liston, 52, of Hawarden died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 1994, at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the American Lutheran Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Karla Kirkeby officiating. Burial will be in the Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden. Arrangements at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden., Mr Liston was born Sept.18, 1942, in Hawarden, the son of Orlen and Tena (Jager) Liston. He graduated from the Hawarden High School in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army service, he worked in construction in the Hawarden area. Roger married Sandy Wycoff April 20, 1968, in Hawarden. The couple made their home in Hawarden, where Roger worked at Jim's Feed Store, and later at Liston Trucking Company. He had been working at Ag Processing Inc. of Sheldon, Iowa, for the past ten years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Billy of Ireton, Iowa, and Ricky of Hawarden; two daughters, Annette and Stacey Liston, both of Hawarden; 8 brothers and their wives, Lee and Mayona of Hawarden, Lloyd and Lillian of Ireton, Daryl and Wilma of Sherburn, Minn., Wesley and Barb of Lovilia, Iowa, Lawrence and Dianna of Alcester, S.D., Norman and Karen of St. Paul, Minn., James and Karen Kennedale, Texas, and Dick and Judy of Hawarden; five sisters, Myra and her husband Harold Huer of Rock Valley, Iowa, Neva and her husband Bud Busch of Hawarden, Betty and her husband Lloyd Gronemeyer of Arnolds Park, Iowa, Darlene and her husband Ray Rummel of Hawarden, and Cindy McKee of Hawarden; and two sisters-in-law, Viola Liston and Donna Liston, both of Hawarden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Howard and Duane; and a sister, Vivian Finch.
