HAWARDEN, Iowa — Ruby Van Buskirk. 90, of Hawarden died Friday, July 29, 1994, at the Hass Hillcrest Care Center in Hawarden. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Associated Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Willard Galloway officiating. Burial will be n the Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden. Arrangements at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.
Mrs. Van Buskirk was born Sept. 6, 1903, in Hudson, S.D., the daughter of Arthur "Sam" and Susie McPherson Heald. She graduated from Hawarden High School in 1922. She married Seward Van Buskirk Sept. 27, 1922, in Sioux City. The couple made their home south-east of Hawarden until they retired to Hawarden in 1964. Mr. Van Buskirk died June 26,1981. She loved to the Hass Hillcrest Care enter July 9,1991. Mrs. Van Buskirk was a member of the Hawarden Associated Church.
Survivors include her sister-in-aw, Agnes Heald of Sioux City; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and William Heald; and a sister, Evelyn Colby.
