Walter Arend Schreur
August 2, 1880—September 20, 1968
Arrangements: Van Etten Funeral Home, Orange City, IA.
Funeral services for Walter Arend Schreur, 88. of Alton were at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Sept. 23 in the First Reformed church of Alton. The Rev. Clarence Greving officiated, with burial ir Nassau Township cemetery. Mr. Schreur died suddenly Fri day. Sept. 20, in Orange City hospital.
Born Aug. 2. 1880, in Vriesland, Mich., Mr. Schreur moved to Alton as a young man and
has lived here ever since. He married Jennie Smith in Maurice March 28, 1923. She died
Nov. 16, 1952.
Survivors include eight children. Mrs, Gertrude Gustad of Volin. S. D.. Geraldine Schreur,
Robert and Raymond Schreur ol Alton, Mrs. Dorothy Lubben ol Le Mars, Mrs. Loretta Games of Marcus. Mrs. Joyce Van Wettering of Boyden. and Arend of Sioux City; a brother, George of Zeeland, Mich.; a sister. Mrs. Gertrude Gelder of Zeeland, Mich.; and 22 grandchildren.
