Orange City news.
A sad funeral was that on last Friday of Mrss De Groot who was brought home for burial from the Clarinda asylum. She was the daughter of Peter De Groot.
(From www.genlias.nl records - Johanna Marya De Groot was born 12 Aug 1868 at Het Bilt, Friesland Netherlands to Peter Johannes De Groot and Aaltje Sjoerds Terpstra. There children born in Friesland were Sjoerd 1859, Sieuwke 1862, Johannes 1863, Johanna 1865, Douwe 1866, Johanna 12 Aug 1868, Ebeltje 1874. According to the father Pieter's obit this Mrs. DeGroot died 1882 in the Netherlands and then they immigrated to the USA.)
