Mrs. C. r. McCrory died at her home at Ireton last week of brain fever after a lingering illness and was buried Saturday with funeral services by Rev. Du Bois. Ruth Ann Stevenson was born in Pittsburg Pennsylvania April 27, 1853. with her parents she moved to Iowa City during her childhood. she was married to Charles R. McCrory at at Iowa City March 21, 1878 and they removed to their farm northwest of Ireton in 1886. She leaves a husband and five children, five brothers and two sisters, and a mother and father to mourn her.
