John Murdock formerly of this place but who has been living at Norcross MN this summer died of consumption at this home near that place Wednesday August 21. John had long been a sufferer from the dread disease and it was known to be only a matter of a short time before the grim destroyer should claim him. He leaves a wife to mourn his loss. The remains were brought to Sheldon and interred in the Sheldon cemetery last Saturdayu. The funeral services were held from the Baptiist church.

(In the 1900 census John R. Murdock born Aug 1871 Ireland was living in Grant Tsp Sioux County Iowa, Came to USA 1872, married 7 yrs. to Lillie T. born Jul 1873.)
