Gail McMillan, 42, of Hawarden died Tuesday, April 16, at her home following a long illness.
Services were Saturday at the Associated Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Randy Knuth officiating. Mrs. McMillan, the former Gail Garretson, was born on December 9, 1953, in Denver, Colorado. She was graduated from Lakewood (Colorado) High School and attended Sioux Empire Community College in Hawarden for two years. She married Ed McMillan in 1982 in Hawarden. The couple lived in Denver and Breckenridge, Colorado, San Diego, California, and Sioux Falls before moving to Hawarden in 1991. She then worked at KProducts.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Heather McCormick of Hawarden, Carol and her husband, Paul Castle, of Lamar, Colorado, and Cassandra Adams of Hawarden; her parents, Clifford and Mary (Cordova) Garretson of Denver; a brother and his wife, Mike and Maureen Garretson, of Denver; two sisters, Kriss and her husband, Ken Syler, of Denver and Sandy Pollard of Denver; and a granddaughter, Ashley McCormick.
