Christina Ruisch
SANBORN, Iowa — Christina Ruisch, 71, of Sanborn died Tuesday, June 18,1996, at her home.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Reformed Church in Sanborn with burial in Roseland Cemetery. Mrs. Ruisch was born Nov. 15, 1924, in Steen, Minn., the daughter of Henry and Dora (Eenkhoorn) Wynja. She lived her youth in the Steen and Sioux Center communities
and received her education at Steen. She married Willis Ruisch Oct. 1, 1947, in Sioux Center. The couple lived at Maurice prior to moving to Sanborn in 1959. She did house cleaning for various homes in Sanborn, was employed at the bowling alley for several years and also had owned and operated the Sanborn Drive-In. Mrs. Ruisch was a member of the First Reformed Church, RCW Guild, Hope Circle, American Legion Auxiliary, and the 20th Century Club.
She enjoyed attending the Dinner Date and playing cards.
Survivors include her children, John of Sanborn, Dianne Lagoo of Granville, Dennis of Carlisle, Wanda Vander Plaats of Hutto, Texas, Carla Hesebeck of Granville and Jenean Ruisch of Sheldon; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Chris Wynja of Sioux Center and Jim Wynja of Melvin, and two sisters, Dorothy Uittenbogaard and Edna DeGroot, both of
Sheldon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Wessel, James and Joe.
