Joseph Kukar, one time resident of the Hawarden vicinity, died Friday, October 28, in Hines hospital, Chicago. He lived with his father, Joseph Kukar, Sr., on a farm south of Hawarden.

Mr. Kukar had been in the hospital for several months and died at the age of 54 years.

Funeral services were held Monday morning, October 31, in a Catholic church and burial in Chicago.

Mr. Kukar was born in Iowa and for the past 15 years had lived at Round Lake, Ill.

Survivors are the widow; four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Mary Porter of Pontiac, Mich., Mrs. R. T. Russell and Jake Kukar of Chicago, Mrs. Wayne Shattuck of Omaha, Mrs. Frances Lass of Bresford and Matt Kukar of Minneapolis.
