Cornelius "Case" Visser, 83, of Rock Valley died Saturday, February 25, 1989, in Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley with the Rev. C. Eric Fennema officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley. Visitation was held at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Mr. Visser was born June 20, 1905, in Werkendam, Noord Brabant, The Netherlands. He attended school through the seventh grade in The Netherlands and came to the United States at age 19. He married Winnie DeJong Feb. 25, 1931, in Rock Valley. The couple farmed near Maurice, Lebanon, Hull, Larchwood and near Rock Valley, moving into Rock Valley in 1975. Mrs. Visser died Oct. 14, 1988.

Mr. Visser was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church and Mens Society of the church. He was a volunteer at Valley Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include a son, C. J. Visser and his wife Anita of Albuquerque, N.M.; five daughters, Mrs. Wesley (Fannie) Westra of Ireton, Mrs. Dick (Cora) Prins of Hartley, Mrs. Glenn (Harriet) Kooiman of Leota, Minn., Mrs. Erwin (Jo) Goslinga of Hospers, and Mrs. Alwayne (Freddy) Vande Kamp of Richfield, Minn.; 26 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelis and Cornelia (Vink) Visser; his wife; four brothers, Jan, Adrianus, Govert, and Johannes; two sisters, Jenneka and Johanna; two grandchildren, Randall Visser and Douglas Goslinga; and a great-granddaughter, Valerie Prins.
