Marion C. Visser, 73, of Rochester, Minn., died of a brain tumor Thursday, Aug. 13, 1992 at the Samaritan Bethany Home.

Marion was born March 26, 1919 in Orange City. He had lived in Rochester since 1945. In 1954 he married Mary Swihart in Indiana.

Mr. Visser was a member of the Rochester police force during the 1950s and 1960s and had been a counselor for alcohol and drug dependents at the former Rochester State Hospital. His wife works at Olmsted Community Hospital.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Stella Zylstra of Grand Rapids, Mich. Two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 17 at Macken Colonial Chapel. The Rev. Merle A. Dunn officiated. Entombment was in the Chapel of Peace in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
