Jessie Verdoorn, 92, of Sheldon, died Sunday, Nov. 18, at Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon.

Services are today, Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church with Al Vermeer officiating. Burial is at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon under the direction of Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Verdoorn, daughter of Mark and Alice (Hofman) DeJager, was born Feb. 1, 1898, in Sioux County. She married Joe Verdoorn Aug. 31, 1918, in Sheldon. He died Oct. 1, 1974.

Survivors include two daughters, Alice Offringa of Sibley and Gertrude (Mrs. Lester) Vogelaar of Worthington, MN; two sons, William of Sibley and Mitchell of Primghar; four sisters, Tracy Noordhoek of Spirit Lake, Gertrude Tapp and Tillie Oldenkamp, both of Sheldon, and Johanna (Mrs. Herman) Segaar of Brooten, MN; 12 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
