Ted Ver Doorn, 75, of Bellflower, Calif., former Rock Valley resident, died Saturday, May 4, 1991 in the Hawaiian Gardens Hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Ver Doorn was born April 12, 1916 in Rock Valley where he grew and attended school. He married Gladys De Groot in George, Iowa February 9, 1939 and worked for The Thornburg Co. until they moved to Calif. in 1946. There he worked as a pipefitter for the San AnaOfrey Nuclear Plant until he retired in 1980.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter Sharon Meisch, three sons, Dennis, Paul and Daryl Ver Doorn, twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a special cousin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Hattie Ver Doorn, a sister in infancy and one brother, Henry Verdoorn.

Services were held May 9, 1991 at Memorial Chapel Forest Lawn Sunnyside in Long Beach. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress, Calif.
