LeRoy C. Numsen, 70, of Alcester, died Thursday while helping a neighbor haul hay near Alvord, Iowa.

Services were at 2 p.m., Monday in Peace Lutheran Church at Alcester. The Rev. Neal Ahart officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery in rural Alcester. The Wass Funeral Home of Alcester was in charge.

Mr. Numsen was born April 17, 1907 at Alcester and was a lifetime resident of the community. He was educated in Alcester schools. He married Eveline Miller at Alcester April 17, 1937. They farmed in the community.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Gene of Stevens Point, Wis., and Lynn of Alcester; two daughters, Mrs. William (Doreen) Stache and Miss Sydelle, both of Columbus, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
