MRS. ARNOLD NIELSEN
Mrs. Arnold Nielsen, 52, of rural Doon, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, at the Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital in Rock Rapids, after a long
illness.
The former Lois Charlotte Zorn was born January 25, 1932, at Hull. She graduated from the Doon High School. On January 6, 1950, she married Arnold Elroy Nielsen at Hull.
They farmed north of Hull. For many years, Mrs. Nielsen was a nurse's aide at the Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital.
She was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Hull, at the hospital auxilaary.
Survivors include her husband: six children, Mrs. LeRoy (Charlotte) Rath of Rock Rapids; Kenneth of Hull; Mrs. Arlen (Martha) De Wit
of Hull; Mrs. Kevin (Lisa Welch of Sheldon; Mrs. Diane Hofer of Rock Rapids; and Martin of Hull; 13 grand-children) her parents Harold W. and Marie Zorn of Rock Rapids; and her sister, JoAnn of St. Paul, Minnesota.
Mrs. Nielsen was preceded in death by her brother, Robert, in 1943.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 10, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Hull, with the Rev. Lyle Blaede officiating. Interment
followed at the church cemetery, under the direction of the Kraai Oolman Funeral Home of Hull.
